We will reopen this week on Tuesday, September 8th. If you have been holding donations, you can bring them to the Tileston Building, 5th Street side, Monday through Thursday, 9am – 11am. If you need to make arrangements for drop-off outside those hours, please contact us.
We have been the fortunate recipients of a number of generous grants from the Residents of Old Wilmington (ROW), and their support has made a meaningful difference to The Sister Isaac Center. In particular, their grants have often helped us keep our food pantry stocked and ensure that we have food available for our neighbors in need.
The event that helps fund the many grants ROW provides to area nonprofits is largely supported by their popular Back Door Kitchen Tour. Having had the pleasure of participating in the tour several times, I can tell you it is a wonderful way to spend a Fall Saturday!
The tour offers a rare opportunity to step behind the doors of eight stunning historic homes in downtown Wilmington. It is a wonderful combination of history, architecture and beautiful homes—all while supporting an organization that gives back so generously to our local community.
We are incredibly grateful to the Residents of Old Wilmington for their continued support of The Sister Isaac Center and for the many ways they help strengthen our community.
The tour is scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2026 from 10am – 4pm
