Our Board President and volunteer extraordinaire, Steve Levesque, built it to match the shelving units he built for the narthex. We are so thankful to Steve for sharing his incredible talent to beautify our Basilica! Now let’s honor him by filling it with non-perishable foods for our guests!
A few months ago, I had the privilege of speaking at the Lutheran Church of Reconciliation (LCOR) on Market Street about the work of The Sister Isaac Center. Shortly afterward, I received a call letting me know that a wonderful group of women from the church had assembled more than 50 bags filled with feminine hygiene products for our guests.
Recently, these generous women returned with another substantial donation, once again demonstrating their compassion and commitment to helping others.
We cannot thank them enough for their kindness and generosity. Feminine hygiene products are essential items that are often difficult for those experiencing financial hardship to afford. By providing these much-needed supplies, our guests can use their limited resources for other necessities such as food, rent, utilities, or medication.
We sincerely thank our friends at LCOR for helping us continue Sister Isaac’s mission of serving others with respect, reverence, and compassion.
