A few weeks ago, a student named Ava reached out to us on behalf of her club at Hoggard High School called HeartFelt Words. The students partnered with middle and elementary schoolers at St Mark’s to create beautiful Valentine’s Day cards for our guests and volunteers.
These thoughtful cards were filled not only with colorful artwork, but also with heartfelt messages of encouragement and appreciation — many especially recognizing our dedicated volunteers. Our volunteers were deeply touched by the kindness expressed in these notes.
As Luke so beautifully reminds us through his loving words, we are all called to know God’s love and compassion. During this Lenten season, may we strive to love and serve with hearts like Luke’s.

Dates to Remember:
March 6th – Soup and Stations at the Basilica. 6:15 – 6:45pm in the school cafeteria to enjoy a light meal, 7pm for Stations in the Basilica. If you haven’t experienced this event, it really is a lovely and spiritual community gathering.
