Through the efforts of The Salvation Army Center of Hope and other local nonprofits, many of our neighbors experiencing homelessness have recently transitioned into stable housing. This is an incredible step forward—but it also brings a new challenge.
When families become homeless, they often have to leave their belongings behind. As they move into new homes, they are starting over with very little. That’s where The Sister Isaac Center steps in—providing new and gently used household essentials to help families rebuild.
Right now, due to the growing number of individuals and families moving into housing, we are in urgent need of new and / or gently used donations, including:
- Sheets (all sizes)
- Towels and washcloths
- Blankets and pillows
- Small appliances (coffee makers, countertop microwaves, electric grills, air fryers, blenders)
- Pots and pans
- Utensils (forks, knives, spoons, can openers)
- Drinking glasses (no stemware, please)
- Dishes
Donation Drop-Off Information:
Donations can be dropped off on the 5th Street side of the Tileston Building, Monday through Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. If these times are not convenient, arrangements can be made for drop-off at other times.
